Hi, I’m Caroline — and this is the story behind it all.

Finding freedom, purpose & a place to belong — on my own terms

CAROLINE GRUBB

Traveller, Photographer, Digital Entrepreneur, lover of chocolate ice cream

I’m a curious soul, always asking: Is there more than this?

After walking away from the 9–5, I became a cruise ship photographer, explored the world, and found myself asking deeper questions about freedom, identity, and what really matters.

When I returned to land, I dived headfirst into personal growth, entrepreneurship, and digital nomad adventures — kickstarting an ever-evolving journey that still lights me up today.

This site is where I share what I’m learning and loving, in case it sparks something for you too.

MY WHY

My purpose is in life is to fully acknowledge others, with care and love, for them to know they are seen for their own perfect beauty, so that they shine as their true self

MY MISSION

  • To contribute to individuals being of service to others by supporting them in honouring and embodying their calling and fulfilling their mission

  • To encourage others to find inner peace through making peace with their past, accepting their own imperfectly beautiful self and encouraging them to become fully and authentically expressed in who they truly are

  • To inspire & uplift others by approaching all of life’s experiences, both joyful and challenging, with positivity, kindness, hope and gratitude for the opportunity to grow

MY VISION

A world of harmony and symbiosis where people are deeply rooted, comfortable and fully expressed in who they are, fulfilling their destiny and experiencing the joy and wonder of what it is to be human on this planet.

WHAT I STAND FOR

Truth over perfection

Freedom over fitting in

Growth over comfort

Connection over performance

Presence over pressure

MY STORY

Like most people, I started out following the traditional corporate career path

THE SEARCH

After getting my degree, I spent 13 years working as an IT consultant for medium and large corporates. On paper, it looked like success: regular travel across the UK, Europe and Asia, a good salary, and a career people respected.

Friends often said it sounded glamorous. But the reality? I spent my days in beige offices and my evenings in airport lounges, business hotels, and endless traffic jams.

It wasn’t the kind of “travelling the world” I’d dreamed of — and slowly, I began to realise I felt completely disconnected from my own life.

Something wasn’t right… but I didn’t know what else I was meant to do.

The best thing that ever happened to me was losing my job

THE SHAKE-UP

The shake-up came in the form of a redundancy.

One minute I was ticking all the right boxes in my career… the next, it was gone.

It rattled me more than I expected — not just financially, but emotionally. Without the job, I realised I didn’t really know who I was anymore.

It forced me to pause. To ask: What now?

And more importantly: What do I actually want?

That was the beginning of everything starting to shift.

Once the shock wore off, I felt liberated!

THE ESCAPE

With nothing to tie me down and everything up in the air, I did something totally unexpected:

I ran away to sea.

I landed a job as a cruise ship photographer — swapping office blocks for ocean views, and boardrooms for beaches. It was part adventure, part survival… and exactly what I needed.

Life became fast, fun, and full of stories. I travelled the world, met people from every corner of it, and remembered what it felt like to be curious, creative — alive.

But while it looked like escape on the outside, it was really the start of something deeper: a search for freedom, meaning, and a life that felt like mine again.

Then another devastating shock hit

THE RETURN

Grief, growth, and the slow journey home to myself.

After years at sea, something shifted. I was craving stillness, meaning — home.

Then my best friend Anya died suddenly, and everything changed. Grief cracked me open. I realised I didn’t want to miss another moment that mattered.

So I came back to land with no plan, just a suitcase and a feeling that I couldn’t keep living the same old script.

That was the start of the real work: slowing down, tuning in, and finding my way back to who I really am.

THE EXPLORATION

Exploring what freedom, truth, and belonging look like — and sharing the ride.

Since then, I’ve been on a journey of rediscovery — asking bigger questions, trying new things, and building a life with more freedom, purpose, and heart.

I’ve explored personal growth, digital entrepreneurship, and what it really means to belong — to myself, and to a life that fits.

It’s still evolving. I’m still learning. But I’m finally on the path that feels like mine.

And this site is where I share what’s helping, in case you’re searching too.

I have created the life of my dreams! Will you?
